Falling for Fabrics one pack at a time

There was a post on design mom about charm packs that I investigated and what I found, I loved. They are pre-cut pack of matching assorted fabrics.

Here are some of the fabrics I'm lovin'.
This is Daisy Chain from Amy Butler.

There are a bunch of great packs by Moda. Here are some fun ones.

And then there's other great pieces from noted printers like Michael Miller:

and Alexander Henry.

I adore this owl print. I'm thinking Owl for the next nursery decor. Wouldn't this be a fantastic base?

I'm loving this new-found world.

I dream of finding antique doors like this and hinging them to make a folding screen.  I just love the character in these.

White chairs, colorful upholstery

Great idea with white, antique chairs. 2 each of a style and then differentiate with color and upholstery placements.  I really want to do this.

Photo Cube

"Upcycled photo cubes"

Remove labels and pull out back section so all that remains are two clear sides of case. You'll need two cd cases to make one cube.
Print images on vellum paper using a jewel case layout for measurements.
Hot glue the sides together.

Ribbon the edges.
Add a candle. Voila.

Fabric Knobs.

Fabric knobs appeal to me because they give some funk without throwing a piece off.

I'll give it a go and then we'll see if it's as easy as countin 1-5.

Family Tree

I'm on the lookout for a good photo family tree idea.

DIY Couch

Beginning with a handmade box measured to fit the cushions in mind...

Purchasing ready made cushions from Ikea...

Adding accent pillows to fill the back and bring color...

Adding 2 smaller built boxes and pillows for the "lounger" look...

Or set up straight in front for a futonish couch...

This is one Amazing cool idea.  More from desiretoinspire.blogspot.com

This really struck me...a simple hanging shelf, great colors, understated.

The idea comes from Ohdeedoh.  Here is the website for more and step by step instructions:

Modern Chess Board

Could this get any cooler?  I'm totally making one.  My only question is whether it's fabric that it's on or scrap papers with mod podge. More on that later.  Time to start collection dollhouse furniture.
